Why Georgia & What To Expect

Georgia, with its lush nature, rich history, and vibrant food and wine culture, is our chosen backdrop for this special occasion. It offers our guests travelling from Germany, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Iran, Latvia, Kazakhstan, the UK, and the UAE a warm, visa-free welcome. Plus, it provides us with a seamless marriage process, making it the perfect wedding destination.

Join us for our “Wedding Weekend in Tbilisi.” Day 1 features our Ceremony and Wedding Dinner, with Day 2 bringing an authentic Georgian evening, plenty of food, wine and traditional dance. For those able to extend their stay, we’ll plan a group adventure to Kakheti’s picturesque countryside. Also, make sure to carve out some time to explore Tbilisi’s charming old town.

Who are we?

In case we haven’t met, yet.

The Groom

Cornelius

Hey there, I’m Cornelius. I was born on 8th September 1988 in Haselünne, Germany and am the proud son of Heinrich and Gabriele. Fun fact: my family is the brains behind the famous Berentzen Apple Liquor brand. In 2018, I packed my bags and moved to the sunny island of Cyprus, a place my brother Max and my mother Gabriele decided to call home shortly thereafter. Professionally, I’m an entrepreneur with fingers in online marketing and real estate pies. My interests? They’re as diverse as a well-stocked buffet, ranging from finance and sports to health. And yes, cooking is a significant part of my life; I love creating delectable dishes that tantalize the tastebuds. I’m an explorer at heart, love getting lost in captivating audiobooks or movies, and have a penchant for gourmet cuisine.

The Bride

Zhamilia

Hello, I’m Zhamilia, also 34, born in the heart of Siberia in Novosibirsk, Russia. I hail from a family of scientists who originally came from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. In 2016, I made a leap and moved to Cyprus, continuing my career in human resource management with an IT company. As a devoted mother, I cherish every moment with my 8-year-old son, Timur, creating memorable experiences that we can treasure forever. When I’m not at work or orchestrating another one of our adventures, you’ll find me running my YouTube channel, sharing experiences with my audience, or perhaps savoring the latest culinary delight cooked up by Cornelius. My zest for life is reflected in my love for sports and travel, my commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle, and my appreciation for life’s many flavors, including that perfect cup of coffee.

Flight Tips

Where to fly to/from: If possible, fly directly from your country to Tbilisi (Tiflis). Alternatively, fly to Kutaisi and use the bus to get to Tbilisi – the buses are super well organized, go 24/7 and can be booked for about 10USD p.P. here. For everyone who will explore Georgia beyond Tbilisi and Kachreti, we recommend a flight back from Kutaisi with WizzAir.

From Germany:

  • Munich to Tbilisi / Direct Flight with Lufthansa / Round Trip 4th or 5th – 10th
  • Düsseldorf to Tbilisi / Direct Flight with Eurowings / Round Trip 5th – 8th or 12th
  • Berlin to Tbilisi / via Instanbul with Pegasus Airlines, 8-9h in total / 4th, 5th or 6th

Alternative Flight back (recommended to people touring the country after the Kachreti Trip):

  • Kutaisi to Frankfurt / Direct Flight with WizzAir / 12th of October
  • Kutaisi to Hamburg / Direct Flight with WizzAir / 13th of October

From Cyprus:

  • Larnaca to Kutaisi / Direct Flight with WizzAir (2h) and Bus to Tbilisi (4h) / 4th or 5th (several Round Trip options)
